what is billing zip code

A Zip Code is a post office box number that is pre-printed on the address label of all mail sent to the United States. It has been used in this way since 1963 when it replaced earlier postal zone numbers, and zip codes are now found on every US address. What is the zip code? A zip code (US: ZIP) consists of five digits, and indicates a particular postal delivery area in North America, which includes central business districts, neighborhoods, large cities or towns. It is not necessary for all postal delivery addresses to have a unique ZIP code.  The first three digits are a standardized, alphanumeric abbreviation for the state or regional area that is unique to each postal service provider. The last two digits indicate a specific location or address. The ZIP Code Program, run by the United States Postal Service, allocates the best available ZIP codes to each post office in the country, based on available capacity and usage.
